Feeling Tired All The Time? Try These Stress-Relieving Tips
Do you lack the psyche to go on? Are you always tired and all you want to do is laze in bed? Such a feeling makes you grumpy, lazy, irritable and generally unhappy with everything and everyone around you. Do you feel fatigued? Most probably, that is a result of stress. How can you overcome it? We have some unconventional yet effective ways to fight off stress and fatigue.
Get Some Sunshine
Just by going exposing yourself to some sunshine, you will get Vitamins D and B-12, which are responsible for fighting fatigue in the body. People who have Vitamin D deficiency feel tired, moody, and stressed.
Unwind and De-stress
Stress is a major cause of fatigue. When stress levels get out of control, fatigue kicks in. Exercise, meditation, and massage are some ways to destress. Other methods include the following:
Buy a Plant
Researchers have found that being surrounded by plants will help you relax. Just like being out in the wild, having plants around you gives you peace and healing, and helps you calm down.
Go Out for a Short Walk
Take your beloved pet for a walk or go to a park to relax. A nature walk will help you reconnect with nature while you exercise; exercising promotes the production of endorphins, otherwise known as the happy hormones. It also lowers your cortisol levels, reducing the stress you have.
Laugh
Laughter is the best medicine, so laugh off your problems and shake them off. Laughter also boosts the production of endorphins.
Avoid Caffeine
You might be tempted to drink coffee to keep jittery and awake, but coffee will drain your energy in the long run. Caffeine not only dehydrates your body but also causes headaches. It also makes you irritable, tired, and sluggish.
Instead of this metabolism killer, try such energy-boosting foods as almonds, oranges, salmon, spinach, or blueberries.
Take a Power Nap
There are numerous benefits of napping, including improved alertness, learning, memory, and performance. Furthermore, napping restores your energy, making you more productive.
However, just make sure that you take a nap no longer than 20 minutes. Anything longer will not be beneficial; it will only make you more sluggish.
Switch Off The Lights
Whether you are taking a nap or hitting the sack, it is important to stay away from media devices and anything associated with light. The blue rays that these devices emit interfere with the production of serotonin, a hormone that is responsible for sleep. It is recommended that you switch off your devices at least 30 minutes before you hit the sack. Also, keep your blinds and shutters down. The darker your room is, the easier it becomes to sleep, and sleep makes you rejuvenated.
